Arrival by train

From Bochum Main Station take subway "U 35" (to "Hustadt"). Get off at the tram stop "Ruhr Universität", take the elevator up and take a right at the end of the elevator. You will see three large buildings with blue balconies on your left. Take a sharp left turn before the first uni building. After 40 meters (130 feet) you will find a spiral stair case. Go down and then walk along the three "blue" buildings. The last building in this row is a somewhat lower building named "ID". Enter it and go to the 2nd floor, room 607.

Arrival by car

A 43/A 1 (Hamburg-Cologne), from east and west via Autobahn A 40/A 44 (Netherlands-Kassel). Drive until junction A 43/A 44 an leave the Autobahn at exit No. 19 ("Ruhr-Universität"). Other possible connections to reach Autobahn junction A 43/A 44 are:

Arrival by plane

Düsseldorf International
Düsseldorf airport is directly connected by train with Bochum Central Station. From the train station inside Dusseldorf airport, take any of the trains going to Bochum (direction Dortmund). There are several trains per hour going that way. It will take approximately 40 min to get from Dusseldorf airport to Bochum Central station. From Bochum Central Station take subway "U 35" to "Hustadt" and get out at stop Ruhr-Universität". Then walk to the IC building depicted in the campus map provided above.

Dortmund Airport
From Dortmund-Holzwickede Airport take bus SB 47 to Dortmund Main Station (operating every hour from Monday till Saturday, no busses on Sundays). From Dortmund Main Station there are several train connections to Bochum, e.g. the Regionalexpress to Aachen (operating every hour), or the S-Bahn S 1 to Düsseldorf (operating every 20 minutes). From Bochum Main Station take subway "U 35" to "Hustadt" an get out at stop "Ruhr-Universität".
